He was the grandson of Green Clay of Kentucky. His father was Brutus Julius Clay.
Born 11 February 1839 in Bourbon County, Ky.
Died 31 October 1912 in Mexico, Missouri.
Buried Paris Cemetery in Bourbon County, Kentucky.
