From the Feb. 2, 2016, Google Alerts for Confederate.
** Woman known for taking down South Carolina Confederate Flag talks to Dallas students. (Texas) Believe it or not, she is described as an activist. Anyone who didn't like what she did last summer is described as a racist, of course.
** Author tells story of his Black Confederate ancestor. (Tupelo, Mississippi) Al Arnold, a black man, researched and wrote a book about his great-great grandfather, Turner Hall Jr., who was an orderly for Robert E. lee and Nathan Bedford Forrest and in the Confederate Army for 4 years. he was a body servant for Lee and was at Appomattox.
** Ga. Lawmaker withdraws pro-Confederacy bills after KKK remark. There goes that Tommy Benton again. Open mouth, insert foot. I understand he didn't drop the bills, but removed his name from it.
** Crane company says city never hired it to move Confederate monuments. ((n)ew (o)rleans) There was a photo along with the article which makes it look like the small case city is already removing the monuments, even before it is legally possible to do so. They must be fairly sure they will win in court.
