The Confederacy Under Attack-- Part 286: Good Old "Ole Miss"

From the June 11, 2016, Google Alerts for Confederate.

**  Ole Miss Adding Slavery Into Plaque by Confederate Statue.  (Mississippi)  (OK, if that floats your boat.)  Anyone that doesn't know that ONE of the reasons the Confederacy was fighting was to keep slavery, please raise your hand.  But, the school will retain its nickname, "Ole Miss" and "Rebels."  Hey aren't they connected to slavery?

The plaque was put up earlier this year, but that version did not mention that slavery was the central cause of the war.  I keep telling that to all those who fought for the Confederacy who didn't have slaves.

The sideline mascot used by Ole Miss, Colonel Reb, was retired a while back.
