From the June 15, 2016, Google Alerts for Confederate.
** Confederate Flag removed in Pa. Capitol, after its 'theft' from historic display. (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) (Loss) The Hanover Area Historical Society had a summer display of 50 flags associated with North American history at the state Capitol's East Wing Rotunda. Flags range from the Vikings to the present and at one time included a Confederate Flag.
Then, the Confederate Flag went "missing." State Representative Vanessa Lowery Bean, a black woman, was offended and took it upon herself to take it down. It was returned then Governor Tom Wolf ordered it removed.
Rep. Brown represents Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, home of Philadelphia.
In the meantime, a quick look at Philadelphia County black murders for 2016 and I saw headlines and information such as 79.1% of murder victims there are black. West Philly residents protest black-on-black murders, crime. Philadelphia ranks 4th in black homicide victims. And, I thought things were bad in Chicago.
Perhaps Rep. Brown has more pressing issues than Confederate Flags.
Also, Shame On the Governor for Erasing History. --Old Secesh
