According to Mark Edelman, professor of anthropology at Hunter College, "Prominent monuments to the Confederate war dead are found in almost every town in the South, often with engraving that praises the 'cause'-- preserving slavery-- for which the rebel 'heroes' died." Someone should get his facts straight.

Today's poll: Do you agree with the State of Virginia for celebrating Confederate History Month?

Yes: although wrong, the confederacy is a key part of US history.

No: The confederacy represents treason, racism and hurt the United States.

Definitely a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
