The Confederacy Under Attack-- Part 185: "Crabs for Christmas" for Maryland State Song?

From the Feb. 4, 2016, Google Alerts for Confederate.

**  Update on the previous post about the Confederate Flag going up by Alabama State University.  It isn't going up because of proximity to power lines.  I am glad to hear this as it would be too much of a flash point, much as the flag in South Carolina.  (Montgomery, Alabama) (Win)

**  6 Songs That Should Replace Maryland's Pro-Confederate State Song (Washionian)  (Loss)  Actually, I jkind of enjoyed this one.  Since "Maryland, My Maryland" does tend to be pro-Confederate, there are those in the state who want to keep the melody, but cleanse the lyrics.  Others want a statewide contest to pick a new one.

Here are some tongue-in-cheek suggestions  (the site lets you click on the songs to hear them):

"What's New in Baltimore" by Frank Zappa
"Maryland Fight Song" by Ralph Davis  (University of Maryland Fight Song)
"Six feet Under the Stars" by Panda Bear
"Rebel Girl" by Bikini Kill
"Crabs for Christmas" by David deBoy
"The Thong Song" by Sisqo receives honorable mention.

I did like Frank Zappa's song best, but also "Crabs for Christmas."
