The Confederacy Under Attack-- Part 186: No More Hood Middle School in Dallas

From the Feb. 4-5, 2016, Google Alerts for Confederate.

**  Greenfield to hold public forum on racism in wake of Confederate Flag Uproar.  (Massachusetts)  A neighbor saw a Confederate Flag up on the wall of a police sergeant's garage and got upset.  (Win)  A forum is better than spray painting.  But, what goes on in a guy's garage is his own thing.  If it upsets you, don't be a peeping Tom.

**  Dallas students vote to remove Confederate school name.  (Texas)  (Win) Hood Middle School, named for Confederate General John Bell Hood, opened in 1955.  At least the name change was put up to the students instead of administration as most school administrations tend to be anti-Confederate.  The students can recommend a new name and vote on it.  Democracy in action.

Plus, the school is 99% minority and less than 1% white.  Confederate-named schools like this should have their names changed.
