** James Loewen Says Additional Baltimore Confederate Statues Should Be Removed. (Loss) Loewen is a historians and wants the statue of poet (and Confederate soldier) Sidney Lanier removed. Forget his poetry, he was a Confederate soldier.
There are 4 statues in predominantly white areas of Baltimore including one to Roger B. Taney, the architect of the Dred Scott Decision and the statue of Lee and Jackson in Wyman Park.
** Confederate Flag sparks controversy in borough. (Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania) (Loss) A house near the college is flying a Confederate Flag and some folks are upset.
** Va. Flaggers: Another Confederate Flag to be raised on I-95 this Saturday. (Petersburg) (Win) This will be the 18th one across the state they have raised. It will be just south of Petersburg and will be on an 80-foot high flag pole and there will be a 20 by 20-foot flag on it.
