Cornwallis' Cave?

From Civil War Talk. //// You might be wondering what a Revolutionary War English general would have to do with the Civil War? Passed down stories have it as being Cornwallis' hiding place during American and French bombardments while his troops were besieged at Yorktown, Virginia. //// Whether he actually used it in 1781 is not known for sure, but during the Civil War, it was used to store powder by the Confederates. It is on Water Street by the James River. //// Now, You Know. --Old Secesh
