Lake County CWRT-- Part 5: Confederate Flags/Union Flags

Polk's Flag was a St. George's Cross.

There were 400 different flags in Illinois during the war.

During the war, flags were usually hand-sewn and then many were painted.  Irosh regimental flags were green and also painted.

Flags were made of silk and muslin.
