** Confederate Thefts: Vandalism or Souvenir Seekers. (South Carolina) (Loss) Three Iron Crosses of Honor erected by the United Daughters of the Confederacy which were set in concrete were taken from the Old Sheldon Church (built 1745) and burned by Sherman. Definitely hope it wasn't vandalism, but these days you never can tell.
** Alabama Senate passes Confederate monument bill. (Win) This will ban changes to Confederate and other old monuments. Tennessee and North Carolina have also passed bills like this. Virginia's governor vetoed one like it.
And here I was thinking we couldn't get a fair shake in any legislative branch of government.
