The Confederacy Under Attack-- Part 423: New Orleans' Mayor Talks About the Confederate Statues

From the March 12, 2017, Google Alerts for Confederate.

**  New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu On Confederate Monuments--  Interview.

The mayor tried to say that he wanted them removed even before the Charleston murders and that they were put up by "the Cult of the Lost Cause."

The host said that general Lee accepted defeat and welcomed African-Americans into his church and ended up doing a lot of good for the United States.  This was especially important in the area of reconciliation.

Landrieu said that Lee had led an army against the United States for the purpose of keeping African-Americans as less than human.

I have to wonder if the mayor has any Southern roots.  Apparently not.  Perhaps descended from Carpetbaggers.

I Don't Think We Will Get Much Help From This Person.  --Old Secesh
