The Confederacy Under Attack-- Part 436: One Bid to Remove the Monuments

From the April 5, 2017, Google Alerts for Confederate.

**  Only one contractor bids to remove New Orleans' Confederate monuments, wants $600,000.  (Not sure if this is a win or loss)

**  Cost for New Orleans to bring down Confederate monuments?  So far: one bidder, triple the budget.  (?)  Cuzan Services Limited made the bid.  Agree to remove three of the monuments (Lee, Davis and Beauregard)  They say the removal will be paid for by an anonymous private donor.

With all the many problems New Orleans has, this really shouldn't be a situation.
